ProsoStride

I created ProsoStride for myself to help me return to regular running and dynamic morning walks. Along the way, it also became a great tool for shedding some extra pounds.

As a fan of audiobooks and select podcasts, I needed something that could provide real-time audio feedback about my body—specifically, my heart rate—without being overly intrusive. ProsoStride achieves this balance, offering the guidance I need while allowing me to enjoy my favorite audio content.

How it Works:
ProsoStride operates as a tandem between your iPhone and iWatch. Your iWatch provides heart rate data to the app and serves as a remote control, enabling you to switch modes on the go. The main app runs on your iPhone, generating audio feedback that blends seamlessly with whatever audio content you’re listening to.

MAF Training Inspired:
Inspired by MAF (Maximum Aerobic Function) training, ProsoStride includes built-in calculators to help you determine your ideal heart rate zones. This ensures you stay in Zone 2—the optimal range for fat burning and endurance improvement.

HealthKit Integration:
ProsoStride integrates with HealthKit to access your heart rate and workout data. All HealthKit data is used solely within the app to enhance your fitness tracking experience.
